Are you the type of person who loves to slather on a thick layer of night cream/moisturisers/serum on your face in hope that it will give you faster and better result? If yes, then we're in the same gang :) . Without knowing the consequence of this practice on our skin, we are not only wasting the creams, but we'll also being led to even worse skin condition. One of the consequence is yeah, as the tittle said, 'OIL SEED' problem.

As you can see in above photo, oil seeds or milia seeds are small, white bumps that appear on the skin around the eyes, cheeks and nose. Unlike acne, oil seeds do not itch or burn. What makes it more difficult to be removed is because there is no opening to it so you have to poke with a sharp,sanitized needle and squeeze the white stuff till it is completely removed.
For months I had 7 oil seeds on my face and they bothered me like hell. I have a normal skin condition and I seldom had breakouts. And once I got pimples on my skin, I'll pop them out because I REALLY REALLY HATE them. The same thing occurred when oil seeds appeared on my skin. I did not know that these things are oil seeds, not pimples. I tried to pop them up, squeezed them till my skin inflamed and swollen but the shit still didn't move an inch. . and once my skin recovered I'll do the same thing to get rid of the oil seeds but to no avail. To spice up the drama, I lost my lancet tool (if I have it then it will be easier since I can make an opening for the oil seeds before squeeze them out) and I didn't know any beauty spa in Kuala Terengganu (I'm studying here now and am so new with the surrounding) that I can trust to help me getting rid of this thing.
So last week I headed back to my hometown, Perak for a semester break and I went to Cherie Sky Beauty to get myself a basic facial. I can say that this is the only beauty spa that I trust so far and it is located not far from my house. I told Cherie (the spa owner aka beauty therapist) that my skin was not problematic and my only concern was to remove the pimples. On that time I still thought that they were pimples. Then she led me to the facial room and we started the facial. Along the process, Cherie told me about the oil seeds I've been suffering from, how'd they formed and during the extraction process she gave me a mirror to look at how the extraction being done.
The video shows exactly the same thing as how Cherry did to my oil seeds.
After the facial I was so glad that finally the oil seeds have left my life. Phewww. The extraction left me with redness a bit but after few days the redness was no longer visible. Thanks God :)
Here are among the sources of problem that lead to the formation of oil seeds :
Using a moisturisers/serum/cream that is too rich for your skin. The most common part that has oil seeds is around your eyes. Why? Because the skin around the eyes is delicate and we cannot use the same product on that area. Use eye cream/serum instead. And please don't slather on your skin with excessive cream/moisturiser/serum.
Overuse of soap and cleansers. Wash your face twice daily is enough. Try to use a soap-free face wash.
Bad eating habit. Cherie told me to cut down the intake of junks and fast food. Bad eating habit could also contribute to this problem. Yeah I have to admit I love fast food and I've a high calorie level.
Lastly, I hope oils seeds will never appear on my face again. . and not on your face too. But if you have them, just book a beauty therapist because I'm afraid if you do it yourself your skin will be left with scars.
